My bright and sunny collection, happi by Dena™, is now available as gift bags and kitchen stationery, made by CR Gibson. Everything looks so great! The bags, recipe keeper, note cards and more are made with special details, like buttons and grosgrain ribbon.

Click on this link to get to CR Gibson’s website, where you can browse and buy the products online. They’ll make really fun gifts for Mother’s Day.

In the next couple of weeks, keep an eye when you go to the Post Office for some fun, bright packaging that makes you irresistibly happi! They are my new designs for boxes, mailers, and labels: happi by Dena, coming out just in time for Mother’s Day (May 10th, mark your calendars!) I know I couldn’t take the smile off my face when I received samples of the packaging two days ago. They look so good and I can’t wait to send presents with them. Butterflies and flowers, pinks and greens, it’s springtime!
Let me know if you spot these packages at your local post office and tell me if they make you feel happi, too!

Hello! I’ve recently returned from the Craft and Hobby Association’s show in L.A! The CHA show is where retailers shop for every type of craft product imaginable. I was there with Ellison featuring the Sizzix die cutting machine. It’s a crank powered machine that easily die cuts shapes through any material you can cut through with scissors. So that would include fabric, paper, chipboard, vellum, etc. If you haven’t heard of it you can go to the website: sizzix.com. They thought it would be fun if I designed a whole booth for the show highlighting my new collection of dies. It was great! I decided that the theme for my creations would be a vintage candy store, tying together my new Tween and Birthday dies.

Hello!
Two weeks ago we exhibited at Surtex and the National Stationery Show at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. We have not exhibited at this particular show in a few years – and what a good idea it was to go back! Going to shows like these is one way that I find companies who want to collaborate and license my designs. The booth looked like a jewel colored tent. I hand painted bright marigold and fuchsia colored silk and hung hand painted Chinese lanterns from the ceiling.
We were jam packed every day meeting wonderful manufacturers who produce all kinds of innovative products. Because of this show Dena Designs has landed a major retail promotion so lots of fun new product will soon be out for you to enjoy! More information on that to come.
