Something new and exciting is happening in September!
Noted Art Licensing Industry pro, Tara Reed, has invited me to be the featured designer in her next interactive Q + A on Art Licensing. Tara setup this innovative forum to connect designers who have questions about licensing, with designers currently working in the industry.
Be sure to tune in for the live broadcast next month, and please visit http://askdenadesigns.com/ to submit your questions.
I'm really looking forward to it!

I recently started a line of wall decals with RoomMates Peel and Stick Décor. These repositionable decals are really colorful and cool! My daughter, Lisa, and I put up the Scroll Tree design in my new studio, take a look!

There are other coordinating peel and stick designs, including wall borders. This idea is such a great alternative to wallpaper or other techniques that are difficult to remove. You can purchase these from the RoomMates website here:

These are some projects we've made here in the studio with our samples of the collection:
This is my daughter Lisa in a McKenzie apron.

And that's our little Ruby in her new dog coat on her new bed.
Keep an eye out for this collection at your local fabric store.

My bright and sunny collection, happi by Dena™, is now available as gift bags and kitchen stationery, made by CR Gibson. Everything looks so great! The bags, recipe keeper, note cards and more are made with special details, like buttons and grosgrain ribbon.

Click on this link to get to CR Gibson’s website, where you can browse and buy the products online. They’ll make really fun gifts for Mother’s Day.
Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, there are some cute independent fabric stores. Walking by Piedmont Fabric the other day, I noticed this window display!

It’s the easy to sew tote bag and apron from my newest fabric collection, Leanika, with Free Spirit fabrics. Behind the sewn samples, you can see how the yard of fabric is laid out, ready to cut and sew.
Piedmont Fabric is at 3858 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA 94611. If you’re interested in buying the Leanika cut and sew tote bag or apron, etsy.com is a great place to buy fabric and support small businesses. Simply type “Leanika” in the “supplies” search field and you’ll find results for my fabric collection.
Happy sewing!
